Yinghua Junior High School interval between lessons: A New Exploration of Students' Diversified Development

Yinghua Junior High School takes the interval between lessons as a new exploration of the diversified development of students, forming a special activity form of the school department with physical education as the core position, expanding the activities of the class and large classroom activities to enrich the colour of the "three carriages" and drive together.

As a pilot grade for the interval between lessons activities, the sixth grade has carried out activities that are innovative, interesting, diversified and competitive, with the basic principle of "teaching, practising and competing", guiding the students to carry out high-quality and high-efficiency large classroom activities that are beneficial, safe, healthy and united.

In the interval between lessons activities, teachers firstly base on and refer to traditional culture and new age elements to determine different themes for the activities. Students can explore their potential hobbies in different thematic activities, develop correct expression skills and a sense of friendly competition. Teachers' participation also strengthens the emotional exchange between teachers and students, creating a model of both teacher and friend, strict and loving.

Year 7 students played shuttlecock, skipping rope and badminton during recess, whilst also understanding and learning the skills of shuttlecock playing and deepening their understanding of traditional Chinese sports culture. Year 7 recess activities were varied and assisted in expanding the activities of teachers and students.

Year 8 students carried out creative aerobics activities in the interval between lessons, bringing their individuality and creativity into play to the end, trying to push the boundaries and showing off their youthful heroism. Their activities are full of vigour and passion, showing the arrogance and confidence of teenagers.

The interval between lessons activity of Yinghua Junior High School provides students with a platform for comprehensive development and self-expression, and makes a positive contribution to the cultivation of socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physicality, aesthetics and labour.
