Farming Culture: Enjoying the Beauty of Labour
Year 1 students went to the farm to explore the farming culture and ask all kinds of questions, enjoying the fun of autumn harvest and at the same time re-establishing their connection with nature. Through independent investigation and collaboration, they learnt about the types of crops in autumn and modern farming methods. In the follow-up project, they will also observe and analyse the growth process of tomatoes and strawberries, and explore the mystery of plant growth.
Dreaming in Space: A Fantastic Journey
Before the study, the children looked for aerospace-related information, put forward their own interest in the issue, with thinking into the "dream space aerospace exploration base", to start the scientific and technological study trip.
In the Two Bombs and One Star Pavilion, students learnt about the history of China's aerospace, felt the spirit of "Two Bombs and One Star" and manned spaceflight spirit, and understood the important role of satellites in China's livelihood protection, disaster prevention and mitigation, transport and other fields under the explanation of the tour guide teacher. The children communicated, discussed and solved problems with their classmates, and a study note was their exploration and pursuit of science.
